I am the director of public relations for eMarketer, a digital marketing research firm in New York City. My job chiefly consists of working with the media to get our work published in major news outlets globally, including but not limited to the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Financial Times, Bloomberg, CNN, Fortune, Forbes, et al.
I was previously a travel analyst for the firm, mainly writing reports and articles about how travel consumers use the internet and mobile to research and purchase travel (and by extension, how our clients can advertise to them). I’ve also led a couple webinars and will be a conference panelist in 2013.
As managing editor for Hotel Interactive, I wrote daily articles about business in the hotel industry (and to a lesser degree, resorts and restaurants as well). I also managed its Twitter and Facebook feeds and guest hosted the site’s weekly podcast.
As executive editor, hotels at France Media in Atlanta, I wrote, edited and designed HOTEL INDUSTRY magazine and Hotel Industry Online. I designed and edited, as well as wrote some, for OWNER, the magazine of the The Owners’ Association for InterContinental Hotels Group. And from 2008-2010, I wrote, edited and designed AAHOA Lodging Business magazine, for the Asian American Hotel Owners Association.
